The Mondeo has been gracing the world’s streets for nearly a quarter of a century. Now in its fourth generation, this good-looking family car offers a refined ride and comes with a wide range of engine choices. The vehicle is available in five-door hatchback and five-door estate variants, and as a four-door saloon if you opt for the Hybrid Electric version.

Or the 2.0-litre 148bhp diesel unit that returns as much as 67.3mpg and CO2 emissions as low as 109g/km. Other options include more powerful petrols, and an ECOnetic diesel, with manual, automatic and PowerShift gearboxes.
An eight-speaker sound system includes DAB digital radio, a CD player and an AM/FM radio. Also featured as standard are an eight-inch colour touchscreen, Bluetooth, USB, SD and AUX connectivity, a Ford navigation system and Ford SYNC 2 (including Voice Control and Emergency Assistance).
The Mondeo has been awarded a five-star rating by Euro NCAP. Driver aids include Anti-Lock Braking System (with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), Electronic Stability Control (with Traction Control and Emergency Brake Assist), Hill-start Assist and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
