The Focus’ aesthetic is instantly recognisable, with a large, hexagonal grille at the front, a stylish curved bonnet and shapely headlights delivering an aggressive, race-inspired look. The sweeping shoulder line gives a sense of continual motion, while the streamlined roof and rear spoiler improve the model’s aerodynamics. Wrap around taillights and a sculpted rear are in keeping with the energetic appearance, and the look is finished with model-specific alloy wheels. Interior

The new Focus Mild Hybrid is as sleek on the inside as it is on the outside. A neat, minimalist cockpit and centre console ensure everything you need is to hand, with the Ford SYNC 4 infotainment system taking pride of place and enabling easy navigation of music, communication functions and apps. The contoured seats can be adjusted to suit your preferred driving position, and with heated front seats and a heated steering wheel on selected trims, you can stay warm on chilly mornings. There’s plenty of space for five too, with ample legroom for rear passengers and a generous boot for your luggage. Choose the estate variant for a hands-free tailgate for added convenience.

Performance

Adding verve to your drive and increasing efficiency, the Focus Mild Hybrid uses a 48V battery and small electric motor to take the strain off the engine. Extra torque is delivered to the EcoBoost petrol unit when required, and regenerative braking technology recharges the battery, reducing emissions and improving fuel economy. The result for you is a swift, responsive drive both in town and on the motorway, as well as fewer stops at the pumps. 

Technology and safety

When it comes to advanced technology, the Focus mHEV won’t disappoint. Driving has never been easier thanks to the Ford Co-Pilot360 system, which combines technologies such as Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Centring to help you remain safe on the motorway. There’s also Blind Spot Information System and Evasive Steering Assist on selected models, which help you to avoid collisions with moving and stationary vehicles.
